Google Challenged By An Indian-Origin Teenager Anmol Tukrel

Google challenged by 16 years Indian-origin Canadian citizen Anmol Tukrel states that his search engine works 47% better than the google.

Tukrel completed the project few days ago and submitted in the Google’s science fair. He took almost 60 hours to code the search engine. Actually he designed the code for the school assignment; later it became the part of global online competition open to students aged between 13 to 18 years.

Interestingly, this report comes just a few days after India-born Sundar Pichai becomes the CEO of Google. Tukrel used a computer with 1GB of free storage space, a spreadsheet program, a python-language development environment and access to Google and New York Times. To test the accuracy of his program, Tukrel limited the search query to this year’s articles from the New York Times.

He also stated that his search engine understands context and meaning, apart from just accessing account location or browsing history.
